Rose O'Dell Principal, President
In her role as President, Rose O’Dell is Thrive’s Chief of Culture, People and Vision. These three pillars are the foundation of Thrive, and Rose ensures that these elements are balanced and integrated with their counterparts so the company is operating at its highest potential. Rose embodies the qualities of a servant leader – setting the company’s vision and goals, but then working hard to make sure they are both reflective of what Thrive’s 325+ associates want to see in a company, as well as delivering above-market results to clients.
Rose developed her leadership over the last two decades during which time she worked her way up within the property management industry, holding roles in accounting, finance and operations. Her ability to connect with clients and staff alike, while demonstrating her financial acumen, has been key to Thrive’s growth; under Rose’s leadership, the firm has grown to 11,000 units in 4 markets.
Dave Kirzinger Principal, CEO
Dave Kirzinger has a distinguished career in real estate acquisitions, development, asset and property management focused on mixed-use, multi-family rental and condominium projects. Dave began his career with Trammell Crow Residential and Intrawest, where he learned to balance market nuances and changes with the rigorous demands of publicly traded companies. He was then recruited to run the US investment group of Belkorp Industries, Balaclava Holdings.
Understanding his ability to create value quickly, AvalonBay entered the Seattle market in 1997 and brought Dave on board to lead their regional office which included 3,000 units in the Seattle area and asset management of an additional 5,000 homes in California.
After his tenure with AvalonBay, Dave became the operating partner with MOSAIC Homes. Dave led the US division and oversaw all acquisitions and conversions.
Kari Anderson Principal, Vice President
Kari has the unique ability to attract, inspire and retain the best and brightest people in the multifamily industry. Her genuine passion for mentoring and assisting her team members to grow in their roles can be seen in Thrive’s on-site team's performance.
Kari began her Property Management career in 1986 with Trammell Crow Residential Services (TCRS) where she was responsible for training and property marketing for all assets in Washington and Oregon. In 1994, she joined Equity Residential where she oversaw 15,000 apartments in the PNW as Area Vice President. In this capacity, Kari supervised over 300 employees, including five Regional Managers. In 2006, Kari joined Investco Management Services (IMS) where she was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and management plans, including the annual budget process for the apartment portfolio.
Kari is the founding President of the Washington Chapter of the National Apartment Association and is currently a member on the Board. Kari is a licensed Washington State Real Estate Broker.
Cori McLeod Vice President
With over 25 years of experience in the multifamily industry, Cori was most recently the Vice President of Client Relations at Pinnacle where she successfully grew third-party business in Washington, Oregon, and California. Cori obtained her degree from Central Washington University with a focus in Business and Marketing.
Cori is a well-respected, highly accomplished industry professional who will support Thrive’s continued growth through positive culture alignment and a keen business sense.
April Syria Vice President, Property Management
With more than more than 20 years’ experience in the multifamily industry, April oversees Thrive’s robust apartment portfolio of 10,000 units and leads the firm’s regional management team and 200+ onsite associates. Her innovative and inclusive leadership style underlies her ability to execute the firm’s growth strategy, forging strong relationships with clients while creating a culture of internal opportunity for staff committed to success. April’s tireless pursuit of excellence has strengthened Thrive’s portfolio performance metrics and her energetic approach to building and mentoring teams has proven to be an invaluable asset to Thrive’s company culture.
Gary Bender Vice President, Redevelopment
The successful redevelopment of any apartment community begins with a great vision to position the asset as a unique offering in the marketplace while optimizing a client’s investment objectives. With a keen ability to see the possibility in every community, Gary oversees project renovations and our capital projects team. With a degree in construction management and over 17 years of multi family experience, projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with the unique approach that makes our communities truly thrive. Gary has overseen award winning renovations including Washington Multifamily Housing Association’s “Renovated Community of the Year”.
Andi Hill Director of Business Development
Andi Hill directs business development efforts at Thrive, including supporting current clients on new developments and acquisitions as well as introducing new strategic relationships to the Thrive portfolio. Andi has worked in the industry for more than a decade, and previously managed business development initiatives for both MG2 and the Downtown Seattle Association. Andi holds a M.Sc. in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Oregon, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Brittany Flajole Director of Organizational Development
The most talented associates in the industry provide value for property owners and exceptional service for residents. Leading our organizational development department, Brittany ensures Thrive employs the right strategies to hire, train, and retain its world-class team members. She oversees the implementation of systems, trainings, and processes that allow Thrive to be responsive in the ever-changing world of property management. Brittany holds a B.A. in Psychology and Business and a M.A. in Organizational Development.
Paul Edgeman Director of Operations
Paul Edgeman is an experienced leader in operations and technology. As the former Vice President of Operations at Gold’s Gym Northwest, Paul brings his knowledge of digital marketing, operational efficiency and customer experience to Thrive. Paul’s success in building online presence and streamlining processes are key to his role overseeing marketing and information technology at Thrive. Paul holds a B.A. in Political Theory from Western Washington University.
William Jarrell Controller
Leading Thrive’s accounting department, William is an experienced leader in property management accounting. Starting his career at Greystar, he has shown a passion for detailed and timely financial reporting, adherence to internal controls and building teams. William holds a B.S. in Accounting from Whitworth University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Washington. His wit and wisdom have built him a loyal following at Thrive where he inspires his team through his tireless work ethic and clever sense of humor.
Kendehl Rojanasthien Senior Regional Manager
Kendehl is passionate about developing people. By empowering confident and capable site leaders and teams, she ensures her communities are full of creative ideas and positive energy. Her laser focus on identifying what’s most impactful to the business allows her to successfully lead a portfolio of communities and other Regional Managers. Kendehl earned a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in International Economic Development and Spanish from Seattle University. Kendehl is a licensed Washington Real Estate Broker and holds her Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor credential with NAA.
Misty Cozzitorto Senior Regional Manager
Misty Cozzitorto is an award-winning property management leader with two decades of experience in the real estate and multifamily industry. As a Senior Regional Manager at Thrive, Misty oversees a portfolio of lease-up and stabilized communities and leads a team of over 50 associates. Misty’s background includes roles in asset management, operations, marketing, and training, all of which contribute to her well-rounded, comprehensive approach to property management and team leadership. She has been involved in all phases of the development cycle, providing pre-development, pre-construction, lease-up and stabilized management, advising stakeholders to achieve high performing buildings.
Misty has been nominated and recognized multiple times by her colleagues with industry awards for her outstanding performance; these abilities are complimented by her mastery of teamwork, communication and work ethic. Known for her engaging spirit, pursuit of excellence, and owner’s mindset, Misty embodies the spirit of Thrive and inspires all those who work with her to be their best.
