Cori McLeod Joins Team Thrive as Vice President

We’re excited to announce that industry leader Cori McLeod has joined the Thrive executive team as our newest Vice President!

“Cori’s deep industry relationships and broad range of expertise will greatly contribute to ensuring Thrive achieves growth goals while bolstering our company’s presence in the industry,” said Kari Anderson, co-founder and Vice President.

With over 25 years of experience in the multifamily industry, Cori was most recently the Vice President of Client Relations at Pinnacle where she successfully grew third-party business in Washington, Oregon, and California. Cori obtained her degree from Central Washington University with a focus in Business and Marketing.

“I’m thrilled to join the Thrive team and look forward to growing our multifamily portfolio, generating new strategic relationships, and providing the excellent service to customers that Thrive is known for,” said Cori.

“Cori is a well-respected, highly accomplished industry professional who will support Thrive’s continued growth through positive culture alignment and a keen business sense.” said Rose O’Dell, President. “We are a primarily woman-owned business, which further differentiates Thrive as a leader in the industry. Thrive Expands to Federal Way with the Addition of Waterbury Park

Thrive welcomed our first Federal Way community this past week! A sprawling, landscaped property close to Celebration Park and the Federal Way Commons, Waterbury adds 236 units to the Thrive portfolio with indoor/outdoor pools, a hot tub, fitness center, basketball court, pet park and more. Exciting renovation projects are planned both for unit interiors and amenity spaces, with even more value to be added when a new Light Rail station arrives in 2024.

Thanks to all who helped with the transition, especially to Lia and McKenna, our established Thrivers who are now running the leasing show! 🙌🥂🌱

Team Thrive Volunteer Day at Redmond's Old Fire House Teen Center

A group of Thrivers from our home office and several different communities across the PNW gathered on a Friday afternoon last month to help refresh the Old Fire House Teen Center in Redmond. Located just next door to one of our newest lease-up communities, Station House, the teen center received a full day of TLC in the form of landscaping, a brand new fence, new furniture, cleaning, pressure washing and both interior and exterior paint projects.

Thrive is One of Washington's Best Workplaces Again in 2019!

Team Thrive is excited to have made the list of Washington’s 100 Best Workplaces for the third consecutive year!

Each year, the Puget Sound Business Journal anonymously surveys full-time employees across hundreds of workplaces in Washington State, grading each response on factors like benefits, work environment, rewards/recognition, communication, responsibility and decision-making, and their opinion of executive leadership.

Thrive now competes in the “large company” category (based on number of employees), alongside some of the state’s well-known giants like Zillow, Redfin and Amazon. We ranked as #7 in this category in 2018.

We’re excited to attend the Washington’s Best event in August to find out where we placed on the list this year! 🏆🎉🏨

Thrive Enters Kent, WA Market with Management and Renovation of 345-Home Community

We are excited to welcome Waterford at the Lakes to the Thrive family! A recent RISE acquisition, the community is situated on 16.85 acres and includes over 30 individual buildings. Waterford’s renovation will begin almost immediately with improvements being made throughout the property that will positively impact residents from day one.

Our transition team ensured that the change in management, even occurring on the final day of the month (May 31), was seamless for residents and team members alike with a new website launched and online pay/resident portal live before midday. The RISE purchase was also covered in the city’s local newspaper, the Kent Reporter, on the day of the transition.

Waterford is the first of three properties in Kent to transition to Thrive before mid-June this year, as we continue to grow our presence south of Seattle.

The WMFHA Emerald Awards event is a multifamily property management legend in the Puget Sound region. Once a year, over a thousand industry leaders and partners gather to celebrate achievement and network with peers at an elegant venue in Bellevue, WA. With John Curley as MC, a live band, and the intense energy of a room packed with multifamily professionals dressed to the nines, the evening was an instant success.

One Day, Three Towns, Three New Thrive Communities 🍃

Thrive Communities is on the move again! Our team is so pleased to welcome 3 new communities to our portfolio:

Sutter’s Square Apartments - 94 Homes in Everett, WA

Vista Ridge Apartments - 91 Homes in Issaquah, WA

Westview Village Apartments - 120 Homes in Renton, WA

Thrive transitioned all three properties in one day under the leadership of Sr. Regional Manager Kendehl Rojanasthien and Regional Manager Robert Gorrin, with extensive support from the Operations and Accounting teams. Each community was service, lease and payment ready on day one ensuring residents were minimally impacted. Additionally, Thrive pre-developed 3 beautiful new websites for these communities that were launched as part of the transition - ensuring our tradition of Peerless Presentation is carried over to digital first impressions as well.

As Thrive’s portfolio continues to grow, our transition team, made up of thrivers from multiple departments, has developed a process to ensure that typical post transitional lag is minimized at every opportunity.

Multifamily Property Transitions Near Seattle Propel Thrive’s October Growth

This week, Thrive Communities wrapped up its second property transition of October, welcoming Copper Creek Apartments to the Thrive family – a 181 home community located in Milton, WA. Just weeks before, Thrive transitioned Alaire Apartments – a 357 home community in Renton, WA. Both properties add a combined 538 homes to Thrive’s portfolio in under 30 days.

The success and efficiency of these transitions can be attributed to Thrive’s award-winning property management team led by expert Regional Managers, combined with a unique commitment to ensuring property transitions are service, lease, and payment ready within 24 hours of a management transition.

Both properties are candidates for value-add renovations, which will be managed by Thrive’s redevelopment team to deliver exceptional results for both residents and ownership.
