Thrive Expands to Federal Way with the Addition of Waterbury Park

Thrive welcomed our first Federal Way community this past week! A sprawling, landscaped property close to Celebration Park and the Federal Way Commons, Waterbury adds 236 units to the Thrive portfolio with indoor/outdoor pools, a hot tub, fitness center, basketball court, pet park and more. Exciting renovation projects are planned both for unit interiors and amenity spaces, with even more value to be added when a new Light Rail station arrives in 2024.

Thanks to all who helped with the transition, especially to Lia and McKenna, our established Thrivers who are now running the leasing show! 🙌🥂🌱

Blackbird Apartments Now Pre-Leasing in Redmond!

It’s been so exciting to see all the progress at Blackbird since last year, from their initial groundbreaking to what’s now materializing to look just like their gorgeous architectural renderings. Pre-leasing applications are now being accepted for move-ins beginning this fall.

Adding 159 high-end apartment homes to Redmond’s flourishing downtown scene, Blackbird is all about boutique style, smart design and an edgy aesthetic. Residents will love the modern lounge, landscaped courtyard, 24/7 fitness center and super-central location. It’s not often that you find a community within close proximity to downtown hot spots that also feels like it’s surrounded by nature - Blackbird lies in the middle of FIVE Redmond parks, with a sixth (Marymoor) just a short walk away.

Learn more at blackbirdredmond.com or feel free to give our leasing team a shout if you’d like to be one of the first to tour! 🐦🌳🏘️🌱

Team Thrive Volunteer Day at Redmond's Old Fire House Teen Center

A group of Thrivers from our home office and several different communities across the PNW gathered on a Friday afternoon last month to help refresh the Old Fire House Teen Center in Redmond. Located just next door to one of our newest lease-up communities, Station House, the teen center received a full day of TLC in the form of landscaping, a brand new fence, new furniture, cleaning, pressure washing and both interior and exterior paint projects.

HUGE thanks to all who participated, and to our vendor partners who donated supplies and time to this project as well:

See below for some of our favorite before/during/after moments.

Team Thrive is already looking forward to our next volunteer day. 🙌👷‍♀️🔨🎨

Thrive is One of Washington's Best Workplaces Again in 2019!

Team Thrive is excited to have made the list of Washington’s 100 Best Workplaces for the third consecutive year!

Each year, the Puget Sound Business Journal anonymously surveys full-time employees across hundreds of workplaces in Washington State, grading each response on factors like benefits, work environment, rewards/recognition, communication, responsibility and decision-making, and their opinion of executive leadership.

Thrive now competes in the “large company” category (based on number of employees), alongside some of the state’s well-known giants like Zillow, Redfin and Amazon. We ranked as #7 in this category in 2018.

We’re excited to attend the Washington’s Best event in August to find out where we placed on the list this year! 🏆🎉🏨
